Academic Development Coordinator

Coral's role is to coordinate the development and quality assurance of IDI's course materials. She liaises with developers providing them with ongoing guidance and support during the development process. Coral organises new developments, ongoing reviews and ensures that all feedback is recorded, managed and actioned. Coral also works with the broader Academic Development team to ensure that all course materials are reviewed regularly, edited and maintained to a consistently high standard.

Danielle works closely with the IDI accountants and management team in the preparation of monthly accounts and she is involved in the ongoing task of business planning, budgeting and forecasting. She also reports on and analyses the company’s financial data.

Danny is responsible for writing content for IDI’s blog, social media, newsletter and other marketing channels. He collaborates closely with the Marketing team to develop creative campaigns, and contributes to the overall marketing and communications strategy of the company.

Elizabeth liaises with our course developers, providing them with ongoing support during the development of all course materials. This includes the restructuring of module learning paths, reviewing and editing the content of course materials, and preparing and updating supporting documents.

Ewan has responsibility for monitoring the quality of the student experience for those studying on all of the Photography, Interior Architecture and Design, and Foundation courses. This involves communicating with our tutors on a regular basis, as well as contributing to the tutor development programme and providing tutors with regular feedback. Ewan also coordinates the collation of all Interior Architecture and Design, Photography and Foundation student assessments.

Fiona has responsibility for monitoring the quality of the student experience on all the Graphic Design and Illustration Level 5 and 6 modules, as well as our Postgraduate Programme. This involves communicating regularly with our tutors and contributing to the ongoing tutor development programme and providing tutors with regular feedback. Working closely with our Student Support Advisors, Fiona coordinates all Level 5 and 6 Graphic Design and Illustration assessments and contributes to the University of Hertfordshire’s Board of Examiners.

A Founding Director of IDI, Fiona is a member of the IDI Management Team with responsibility for student admissions. Fiona also works closely with the IDI Marketing Team, specifically in relation to the information about the company published on IDI’s public website, but also in relation to any information published on affiliate websites.

Gail is involved heavily in the management of the companies finances as well as strategy and business planning. She also oversees the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual management information alongside financial forecasting and modelling.

Heather is one of the first people many prospective students contact when they are enquiring about courses with IDI. She works closely with the Admissions Advisors to ensure prospective students give all required information to make an application and she will also provide any information on courses, fees, payments, discounts and entry requirements.

Jack makes sure that the student is having the best possible experience studying with IDI. He does this by providing support, assistance and guidance to students in need while also working closely with tutors and course coordinators.

Joanna Kane

Academic Leader

Tutor and Academic Leader for Photography and Fine Art, Joanna has a background as a photographer and visual artist with experience working on exhibitions, books and commissions. As a lecturer she has worked at Edinburgh University on the Art and Design Studies programme, Edinburgh College of Art, and as a visiting lecturer at Norwich University of the Arts, Gray’s School of Art and the University of Gloucestershire. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and she has worked on a series of photography commissions. Her photographic work has been displayed in public and private collections including the Scottish National Galleries and MONA in Australia.

Jocelyn has overall responsibility for the development, ongoing reviews and quality of IDI’s course materials. She manages the Academic Development team and liaises with external developers and subject specialists.  Jocelyn also oversees all validation events and liaises with the University of Hertfordshire’s Programme teams.

Joe is Academic Leader for Interior Architecture and Design and has been working in the interior architecture industry for over 20 years. With a BA Interior Design from Glasgow School of Art, MA Architecture and Interior Design from the Royal College of Art and a PGCE from Canterbury Christchurch University, Joe has accumulated experience in design practice, theory and education. Joe has worked with a number of leading design consultancies and founded a successful design partnership practice and is established as an independent design consultant. In his most recent role as Advanced Practitioner at Kensington and Chelsea College, Joe delivered key developments in e-learning strategy and digital resources.

Michael Stewart is a member of the Management Team with responsibility for liaison with external agencies such as Scottish Enterprise and with the IDI Board and the shareholder body. In addition, he contributes regularly to the IDI blog, produces resource articles and conducts interviews with emerging practitioners in art & design.

Molly is responsible for creating all original visual content for IDI. Collaborating closely with the Marketing team, Molly develops visual content for creative campaigns as well as for IDI's blog and social media channels. Molly also works closely with the web team on the design and layout of the IDI public website.

Susan provides administrative support for our students and our Academic Quality team. As the main point of contact with the Academic Administration Team at the University of Hertfordshire, Susan supports the student administration and assessment process at the University Board of Examiners. She also corresponds with our enrolled students prior to the start of their studies, providing them with information about our online Induction programme. Susan is also responsible for maintaining our student records.
