Denitsa has a PhD in Public Art and Digital Media from the University of Edinburgh. Her research takes into consideration Web 2.0 as being useful in expanding the possibilities of public art by providing a unique opportunity for shared creativity in the public space. Her most recent artistic projects called for critical re-examination of the public space, focusing on the relationship between the site, artist and community. Denitsa has previously lectured at Edinburgh College of Art within the Centre for Visual and Cultural Studies and worked as a Research Associate at the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Creative Industries of Napier University, Edinburgh.
