Christopher Gibbs achieved a first class honours degree in Illustration at Norwich School of Art, followed by an MA in Sequential Illustration from the University of Brighton. He lives in High Wycombe with his dog and an infinitely more obedient Apple Mac, and has lectured in Illustration at various universities across the country. His work has adorned contemporary adult and young fiction covers all over the world. In 2007 he won the Association of Illustrators Images 31 Gold Award for his book cover for 'Puccini's Ghosts'. He manipulates digital imagery to create multi-layered pictures, using photography and graphic symbols with rich textures and a sophisticated colour palette. He has illustrated Royal Mail packaging for Harry Potter stamps, many SF Masterworks covers, cover imagery for the 'How to Train Your Dragon' series, and has also worked in the editorial field for many specialist magazines.
