Matt has thirty years of commercial practice as a photographer, supplying commissioned photography to the media, design and advertising sectors both in the UK and internationally; transitioning to digital workflows from analogue capture as technology has advanced. He has been involved in photographic education for twenty-four years, teaching across all levels from GCSE to postgraduate; with the last seven years focused on higher education experience. In addition to IDI, he teaches at Norwich University of the Arts, where he has led the second year of the undergraduate programme. He completed his MA in Photography at Middlesex University as a mature student twenty-seven years after first leaving art school and establishing his own freelance practice; he views and values learning as a life-long skill. His work has been published in a plethora of publications, locations and countries. In 2016, he was confirmed as a Teaching Fellow of the HEA for his outstanding teaching standards.
