This November, IDI students from across the globe will arrive in Scotland’s capital to celebrate their achievements at the annual graduation ceremony, within the iconic halls of Edinburgh Castle.
Despite working towards achieving their Bachelor degrees together online, this will be the first time the majority of the students actually meet each other – and their tutors – face to face.
The students graduating in Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography and Interior Architecture and Design have gained their BA Hons degrees from the University of Hertfordshire, delivered entirely online through IDI’s bespoke virtual learning platform.
This unique event, which is the only graduation ceremony held in Edinburgh Castle, promises to be a significant one as 65% of students graduate with a degree qualification of 2:1 or above.
The ceremony serves as a platform to highlight the next generation of upcoming photographers, artists and designers who will contribute to the creative economy, both in the UK and internationally.
The students will travel to Edinburgh from as far afield as Canada and the Philippines. The graduates receive their degrees on Friday the 13th of November in front of their peers, family and University of Hertfordshire staff, as well as key student support staff, tutors and directors from IDI.
