Vital Signs Exhibition, Menier Gallery London
IDI is pleased to announce that nine of our Photography students have been nominated across six different categories to have their work exhibited this February at the Menier Gallery in London. The awards event will be held on February 4th. Additional IDI student work has also been selected to be featured on the RealLife Photography’s online blog display.
The themes of the competition were space and community. Photographers were asked to undertake an exploration of mental wellbeing through photographic documentary of the two themes. Using street-photography and photo-journalism, they were set the task of communicating a clear and unfettered message that would stimulate debate about the real world and real life.
The goal of the RealLife Photography Awards is to support and foster emerging talent. Students and new professionals are supported in honing their skills and are given the opportunity to have their work exhibited.
Final winners in each category will be announced at the awards event in February.
