BA (Hons) Graphic Design
"I started my journey with IDI with little experience, but lots of enthusiasm and a passion for good design. I found the course extremely challenging, but unbelievably rewarding. I think this is reflected in my work. My strongest outcomes were on projects with a social or environmental message. My Final Major Project (FMP) and my work on 'Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit' are examples of this.
"My FMP (based on a live brief) set by the RSA Student Design Awards; ‘Waste Not, Want Not’ asked students to 'design a way to encourage and support individuals, households, businesses and/or communities to reduce food waste'. I responded by designing a new hypothetical consumer brand called 'Roots' based on bio-regionalism, thereby reconnecting people with the origins of their food to encourage them to waste less."
