BA (Hons) Graphic Design
"My Final Major Project, which is also a passion project of mine, was a self-directed brief that asked for the designs of a cookbook cover, at least two spreads, and an accompanying promotional poster under the chosen theme, "Making the Ordinary, Extraordinary".
"My response was to create a unique, distinctive, out-of-the ordinary design, inspired by the simple and bold style of modernist, Paul Rand. The final outcome, "Painless Vegan Cooking," is a creation that fits the chosen theme with its idiosyncratic typography, vibrant imagery, and overall modern design.
"I enjoy all areas of graphic design and as someone who works freelance, I have seen the importance in a designer's ability to be adept in more than one specialisation within the industry. My experience at IDI has allowed me to develop my skills in all areas of graphic design, thus preparing me for my professional career post-graduation."
