Role Description

The successful candidate will be:

  • Designing best-in-class email templates using Photoshop or equivalent, which are in-line with brand guidelines
  • Creating engaging content and copy for emails
  • Segmenting lists based on behaviours such as past email engagement and website interactions (site, page, visits, etc.)
  • Building HTML templates (responsively), carrying out the appropriate render testing to ensure that the emails render well in all browsers
  • Setting up email campaign for deployment using Salesforce CRM, Pardot and MailChimp
  • Conducting a/b testing of subject line, email content, sending patterns, times and HTML combinations for optimal delivery


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Analysing and reporting on email activity to optimise open rates, click-through and conversion amongst other metrics
  • Measuring all campaign activity and results to inform the continual reviewing and refreshing of our email marketing strategy
  • Reporting on email campaigns and highlighting key findings to Head of Marketing and the wider business, and making suggestions for email campaign improvement
  • Regularly reporting on email marketing activities against agreed KPIs & ROI


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience of delivering email marketing & email programmes
  • Ability to develop email marketing plans and launch initiatives/campaigns in marketing automation platforms
  • Experience of managing multiple email campaigns including template design, calls-to-action and content
  • Expert level skills in creative email template design and build
  • An understanding of HTML/email coding best practice
  • Experience of working in a fast-moving environment with competing deadlines and priorities
  • Understanding and experience in Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, HTML 5, CSS
  • Excellent Web Analytics skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience of using  Salesforce CRM
  • Experience of using Pardot Marketing automation (desirable but not essential)
  • Proven ability to deliver to budgets


It would be advantageous if the candidate could provide evidence of their:

  • Copy writing experience
  • Experience of Display or Content Network management
  • Education level: ideally educated to Degree level, with professional e-Marketing Qualifications a distinct advantage


Contract: Permanent, Full time

Salary: competitive salary based on experience
