I am a Danish author and illustrator fascinated by the dynamics between visual and verbal storytelling.

During my studies at IDI, I have written and illustrated two picture books: ‘The Sleeplings’ about the courageous girl Awa who wants to know the night (for 3-7 years) and ‘Little Dot’ about a boy who goes on a sensory tour of his garden (for 2-5 years) as well as illustrated the Vietnamese legend ‘The Crystal Heart’.

As a former theatre teacher, I have found new forms of expression using paper cut placed in a diorama paper theatre. I stage characters and scenery on a small cardboard stage, add lighting and photograph the scene aiming at creating a unique atmosphere.

My ambition is to write and illustrate picture books that inspire and empower children to explore themselves and the world. I strive to create diverse and inclusive books that unite children across borders.

IDI has been a life altering experience for me. I am truly grateful for the possibilities, challenges, inspiration and professionalism that I have encountered at IDI.
