Anna Bucknall

When we are viewing artwork ignorant of information, we will see something very different, blissfully unaware of the evil subject.

I am a fine artist that specializes in painting and monoprint, finding inspiration through psychology and criminology. I use my art to explore the taboos around evil, focusing on the emotional value of my art and how this affects my audience.

Throughout my art degree I have explored the common theme of ‘fear and human emotions’ with my final major focusing on serial killers with the title being ‘Blissfully Unaware’.

I use a mix of paint, charcoal and monoprint to show how our emotions can put a filter over what we see, creating both beautiful paintings as well as abstracts that aim to provoke strong emotions.
