COVID-19 update: All online teaching and learning is proceeding as normal

IDI Featured: Design for Print

I have always loved art, but secretly preferred the more practical aspects of creativity, from fun packaging designs to book covers, anything that has a purpose and makes everyday life a little bit more beautiful. When I learned this area of art was its own discipline – graphic design – I knew it was one I wanted to pursue.

During my studies with IDI I have focused on exploring my love for colour and pattern while developing my technical skills in typography and digital illustration. My degree show selections reflect the wide variety of different projects I worked on during my studies.

For my Final Major Project I designed a series of book covers for a box set that would act as an introduction to Japanese literature. For these designs I endeavoured to take an original approach, creating fun and quirky designs that would appeal to young adults.

I enjoyed my time studying with IDI, and am now looking forward to new challenges as I begin my journey into a more creative career.
