My project is a contemporary art space in the city of Amsterdam. The challenge was the large and complex building. The main transformation to the existing structure is the facade panels, rooftop terrace and the large stair-ramp entrance.

As a concept, I choose to go for a Mondrian style; to design an art space inspired by art itself – to create a design that promotes the relationship between activity and environment. And to augment the quality, functionality, and the aesthetic of the current building.

As the art gallery is dedicated to painting, I wanted the design to speak the same language: Forms and Colours.
