Lisa Lauenstein

BA (Hons) Illustration

Through IDI I have been able to complete a degree course in Illustration, with the help and support of industry professionals. The coursework has been a pleasure and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the in-depth knowledge and resources IDI has provided me.

The course has given me the opportunity to explore narrative and image as well as writing and illustrating my own narratives. I am passionate about visualising stories, thoughts and ideas, which I accomplish with both traditional and digital media.

For this portfolio I have included a range of illustrations in which I have explored image and narrative. This includes illustrations for “The legend of Isis and Osiris” as well as illustrations for three original texts; “It’s Fine” (a story about an alpaca), “My best friend Buffalo” (a story about a marmot and his friend) and illustrations for my final major project “R.I.T.A” (a graphic novel about identity and home).
