IDI Featured: Design for Print

Earning my degree with UH/IDI has been a very rewarding challenge. Through my studies I refined my personal style and discovered my love of typography; print design; package design; and branding/re-branding, particularly for local businesses. My style focuses on modernizing retro- and vintage-inspired design, and I often blend digital methods with photography/photo-montage.

My displayed projects include:

  • An event poster promoting the annual Association Typographique Internationale conference, featuring an Object Style-inspired digital illustration of the S-Printing Horse statue found at the Print Media Academy in Heidelberg
  • Designs for the National Media Museum’s 1950’s Sci-Fi Film exhibit, including posters and promotional materials
  • A quirky digital painting/photo-montage cover for The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, paired with a more classic-themed hardcover set alternative including Hitchhiker’s Guide and A Midsummer Night’s Dream
  • Packaging design for The Grown Up Chocolate Company’s new allergen-free chocolates
  • A hand-crafted gift box celebrating French theatre for Royal Opera House VIPs
  • My self-promotional pack featuring my vintage-inspired personal branding
  • My Final Major Project, a full re-brand for a local pizza restaurant, including menus and signage
