The “New Islamic Vernacular In Hospitality Interior Design” is a perfect way to develop a hospitality business due to the attractiveness for the guests.

The scope of the project was to develop a Hotel Interior Design Concept and Guidelines for future development of interior design for Hotels in New Islamic Vernacular. Creating the Design Concept based on existing building by changing its destination, which will be used as a reference for future hospitality projects. I chose an existing 20859 sq. m office building in city centre of Riyadh Saudi Arabia which can be converted into a 239 keys hotel with 86% space efficiency.

As a designer I have always been fascinated with geometrical forms and shapes, and the combinations in which they exist in the Islamic culture and arts. I draw continuous inspiration from this research, using it within my project development.

My research idea had creative outcomes related to my area of practice. The creative component of my research would be a development of an interior element, or entire interior according to my research.

The historical and cultural research followed by a large-scale research in an innovative design and hotelier guest experience lead the project development into a new design approach.
