“The design idea of my selected site option, Deutsche Opera Berlin, is inspired from the outline shape of tree branches and reflected on elevations and interior spaces.
“My idea of interior eco-shafts and green walls was to bring nature and environment to the central part of the building and blend it with art to form an ecological atmosphere in a modern space. The main function of eco-shaft is to bring natural light and air to the building’s core interior, and especially to the exhibition hall. The artificial lights and natural ventilation could be one way of creating an ecological environment.
“In addition to the interior design, I have extended some 2D shapes on the eastern and western facades to the exterior, to form transparent functional and aesthetic extensions to improve the building.”
